How to Spot a Liar: The Case Against Amanda Carpenter

Ted Cruz has been accused of having at least five mistresses, including CNN anchor and former Cruz employee Amanda Carpenter. The media claims Cruz has denied these accusations.

Cruz is lying, according to multiple trial lawyers and experts on persuasion. His lies are hard to spot, because his lies are also truthful.

Consider what Cruz said in response to the news story:

“Let me be clear this National Enquirer story is garbage. It is complete and utter lies. It is a tabloid smear and it is a smear that has come from Donald Trump and his henchmen.”

Let’s look at what Cruz did not say. Cruz could have said, “I have never cheated on my wife.” Why didn’t he?

Consider the oath witnesses take before testifying. “I swear to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth.” Isn’t that redundant?

Ted Cruz is accused of having had an affair with five women. He could say, “That’s a lie. I did not have five mistresses.” If Cruz did have one mistress, then he’d have told the truth (he didn’t have five) but not the whole truth (he had one).

Experienced lawyers are calling Cruz’s denial a non-denial.

The Case Against Amanda Carpenter.

One of the women Ted Cruz is accused of sleeping with is CNN anchor and former Cruz communications director – Amanda Carpenter. This election cycle Carpenter has been vicious. She has attacked Trump supporters.

Carpenter, a married woman, found Cruz attractive.

Carpenter created a black list of Trump supporters.

If you support Trump, the only person who can stop Cruz from winning the GOP nomination, Carpenter is going to try getting you fired from a job and keep you from appearing on television.

This is the behavior of a woman in love with Cruz:

Call it a boycott, call it a blackball, call it a blacklist, call it whatever you want. I’m done with these folks and other conservatives should be, too. Anyone who will defend a man condoning random acts of violence at his rallies has lost his morals; he will defend anything at all.

Carpenter refers to Ted Cruz as “Daddy.”

Carpenter also wore Cruz’s suit jack on the day that she and Daddy Cruz obtained matching temporary tattoos.

Women love wearing a man’s jacket because she loved Cruz’s smell and wanted it on her body.

Cruz and Carpenter had dinner dates.

According to reports, private investigators spotted Cruz leaving a restaurant with an unidentified woman:

That source said an operative allied with Marco Rubio—but not associated with his official campaign—showed the publication a compilation video of Cruz and a woman other than his wife coming out of the Capitol Grille restaurant and a hotel on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

April 1st, the day Carpenter was seen wearing Daddy Cruz’s jacket, she admitted being with Cruz.

At 5:22 a.m. Carpenter talked about how Cruz was in a “fun mood.” Were they up all night together in a hotel?

Carpenter left her job with Cruz suddenly.

In June 2005 Carpenter suddenly quit her job at Cruz’s communications director. This move shocked observers, as she loved her job and had solid media ties. It made no sense for her to leave, especially since her replacement had not yet been found.

Carpenter spread lies to help Cruz win Iowa.

Ted Cruz won the Iowa primary after his team spread lies about Ben Carson dropping out of the race. Even though Carpenter was not part of Team Cruz, she spread the lie about Carson.

Carpenter’s startling silence when news of the Cruz sex scandal broke.

Amanda Carpenter lives on Twitter. When news of the Cruz sex scandal broke, she was silent. She didn’t tweet or respond to anyone.

That’s behavior consistent with someone coordinating a response with Cruz.

If the claims were false, why not simply say, “I have never had sexual relations with Ted Cruz.”

In summary, Amanda Carpenter:

  • found Cruz sexually attractive,
  • was identified as one of Cruz mistresses,
  • went after Trump supporters in a personal way,
  • quit her job unexpectedly (leaving Cruz without a communications director),
  • lied about Ben Carson’ leaving the race during Iowa primary
  • got matching tattoos with Cruz,
  • wore Cruz’s jacket,
  • called Cruz “Daddy,”
  • was quiet on night scandal broke,
  • coordinated her response with Team Cruz.

Given that Cruz has never denied having an affair and given Carpenter’s delayed response regarding this affair, there’s something highly suspicious going on.

Today Ted Cruz had a chance once and for all to end the #CruzSexScandal. Yet Cruz will not answer a simple and direct question: Have you been unfaithful to your wife?

Cruz continues to obfuscate and today he even had a body guard (he could have used a chastity belt) jump in when asked about his infidelity issues.

Cruz: I recognize that you love going into the gutter. What is your publication? I’m going to give a very brief answer to your question. The National Enquirer story is complete garbage. It is total lies. It was planted by Donald Trump’s henchmen.

Ted Cruz has still not said, “I have never been unfaithful to my wife.”

Cruz’s initial response to the story took him 18 hours to draft. Then he said: “Let me be clear this National Enquirer story is garbage. It is complete and utter lies. It is a tabloid smear and it is a smear that has come from Donald Trump and his henchmen.”

No lawyer is buying this non-denial. Something is up.

Incidentally, Cruz’s Super PAC also gave $500,000 to Carly’s Super PAC. Carly’s PAC gave nearly $50,000 to one of the women Cruz is alleged to have slept with.

Was that money laundering? Carly certainly has Cruz’s back.

Let’s sum up the Ted Cruz sex scandal.

  • Ted Cruz will not state that he has never cheated on his wife.
  • Cruz’s Super PAC gave 500K to Carly, who gave 50K to one of Cruz’s supposed mistresses.
  • Amanda Carpenter, one of Cruz’s suspected mistresses, left the Cruz campaign under suspicious circumstances. She quit her job even though Cruz had no replacement. Carpenter claimed she was going to do some writing, but she hasn’t released a book or announced any major writing projects.
  • All of Cruz’s top advisers are men, which is consistent with reports that Heidi does not trust Cruz to be alone around Amanda Carpenter or other women.
  • A Washington Times reporter who confirmed that Cruz had mistresses was fired from his job. The Wash Times even lied about his employment status to discredit him.
  • Today Glenn Beck created a redemption narrative for Ted Cruz, saying on his show, “I’ll give [Cruz] a break if it is over and you guys deal with it, thats your business. I’m not here to condemn somebody for making a mistake.”
  • Glenn Beck’s employee Dana Loesch began attacking me on Twitter, in an effort to discredit me.
  • Amanda Carpenter had a meltdown online.
  • The mainstream media, which hasn’t wanted to cover this scandal, met to discuss ways to defeat Trump.
  • Trump would win 1,237 delegates – enough to avoid a contested convention – if the Ted Cruz Sex Scandal is proven true with video evidence.

That’s a lot of smoke folks!

    Too much stuff to be a mere coincidence. Along with some of the facts being able to point out from the web, will be interesting to see the next plays from the National Enquirer. Contrary to popular opinion, they actually do great journalistic work in cases like these and release the stories when there is little shred of doubt. The Charlie Sheen case earlier this year was impressive, and he would have continued to cover up the claims had it not been for there reporting and research.

    The 2 day lag time for the non-denial is evidence of panic, as this affair not only will end Cruz’s presidential run, but likely his political career. How’s it going to for John Edwards and Eliot Spitzer?

    Watching the Bible series again this weekend and some eery similarities jumped out at me. The RNC is like those Jews who arrested Jesus and had him crucified and Trump is a lot like Jesus – getting crucified and attacked because he threatens the power base of the powerful Jews (RNC) The way the RNC and the Cruzbots are coming at Trump is just like how the powerful Jews came at Jesus and had him arrested and crucified just because of who he was and what he represented and oh yeah, his popularity. The Cruzbots and the GOPe are worse than the Demorats even at this underhanded and dirty politics they are conducting.

        Yes you’re right both parties are bought and sold but there’s one big distinction. More politicians bought off in the GOP than in the Democratic Party. At least the Dems have a few principled individuals left who can’t be bought and who actually try to legislate and govern (Sanders, Warren, Grayson).

Trust me wealth redistribution is just flat out theft. If I make 20X the median income I still pay 20x the median tax even if I was on the exact same bracket. Wealth redistribution sounds nice if you think people gave us 1%ers our money but I earned it through my own labor and started out at minimum wage in high school like most anyone else with money. The chances of people like me paying 60% tax is about .000001% above zero.

            We’ve already re-distributed to the top the past 4 decades. Productivity went up 90% and economy grew by 60% but workers wages only went up 9%. That’s wealth re-distribution to the top, what the hell else would you call it?

            Rich people and corporations spend hundreds of millions on lobbying and receive trillions in tax breaks and subsidies. The laws have been changed to favor the rich and corporations the past few decades. Who writes a lot of our laws now behind closed doors? It’s ALEC, a group comprised of corporate interests (mostly conservative ones).

            Simple economics. Our economy will do better if workers have more money to spend because they are the ones who spend money in our economy. The rich save in offshore and other tax havens spending very little of their accrued wealth.

            Bernie will force the banks to lend more due to his crackdown on speculation and with the increase in minimum wage there will also be an increase in spending boosting our economy. The current system has had the middle class and poor in a recession for nearly 2 decades now. Yes our economy is recovering but mostly for the top only. The poor and middle class have seen prices go up on all consumer goods while their wages stay the same. I thought prices only go up when you raise the minimum wage according to conservatives?

            Asking for fairness in our system and you wanna run away. I didn’t even move when it was unfair to me. How UN-American of you.

            So if you don’t get your way you’ll move. If democracy doesn’t go your way you’ll take your toys and go somewhere else. Wow and you call yourself an American and a patriot? Jeez, just give me your citizenship card and GTFO if that’s how you feel.

            The poor and middle class are loosing because they are employees and when you can hire a filipino that will work harder smarter and follow direction without complaining for less than half the price why would you hire an “American” that is going to bitch and wine then file for unemployment when you fire them.             Your issues that are causing income disparity is not wealth redistribution like i said it wasn’t redistributed but those of us that actually do business have made more money from corporate inversion offshore tax havens and zero tariff trade deals like the TPP.

            I am happy to pay my fair tax bracket if we fix our tax system but like I said if you raise the tax rate it will just cause people like me that have the means to. To leave the USA because people that are unwilling to change with the times want to redistribute my money through taxes to the people that are employees working jobs.

            In a global economy the reality is the most disposable resource you have is people and unless you address that problem your going to continue to have the wealth gap grow.

            Denmark is considered by many to be the best economy in the world right now for business. They are a Democratic Nationalist nation. All the Democratic Socialist nations are kicking our butts.

            Your explanation doesn’t account for the rise in productivity of the American worker but stagnant wages for 4 decades. I wasn’t talking about jobs overseas, I was talking about productivity going up in the USA 90%, economy growing by 60% but our wages only went up 9%.

            Jobs going overseas does not address stagnant wages compared to productivity and the growth of our economy. I don’t support those trade deals.

            Also notice you didn’t address being “un-American”, threatening to move if the election doesn’t go your way. Shows about how much you care about being an American. Say you’ll pay your “fair share” but when I thought the share I paid was unfair I didn’t threaten to leave the country or give up on my country or fellow citizens.

            The only republican we have had in the past 20 years was George Bush and there is about zero difference between him and Clinton. So I don’t know why you think we have been doing it the republican way for the past 4 decades. Most of that time was actually spent under democratic administrations and definitely most of the changes where made under democrats.

            I didn’t address being un-american by being willing to move. The reality is I would already benefits hundreds of thousands a year by moving to a tax haven. I haven’t yet because I am american and I am willing to pay a reasonable amount of tax. Socialism is so far from the values our country was founded on it’s not even un-American to leave if that is the direction we go. There is nothing close to the word freedom in paying more than half your income in taxes.

            Sanders is pro war pro big government.             A pretty poor attempt at deflection. Does Sanders support regime change in Syria? Yes, while at the same time railing against previous policies of failed regime change in Iraq and Libya. It’s easy to oppose things you don’t have any power to change.

            Confronting Assad means confronting Russia which has the potential to start WWIII. I doubt Jesus is an advocate.

            Our taxes go towards a whole host of things that I oppose. That opposition has no impact on policy regardless of the party in power. Your entire argument revolves around the notion that I’m Christian and Republican, I’m neither.

            As for the notion that European countries are beating us in every measure of a healthy society, I simply have to look at Europe right now to see that’s not the case. I have been there twice, been to the doctor there twice and while I see some positives in the system I have no desire to live under it.

            I prefer to live in a Representative Republic where my natural rights are outlined and protected. If you wish to live in a socialist country, pick one, and move there. Unless you’d prefer to continue your inane rambling about Bernie Christ.

        Also, you can see the sleeve from the other arm in the pic. That one is at the same length on the forearm. There wouldn’t be a reason for that sleeve to be hiked up. It seems to be a standard woman’s 3/4 length sleeve blazer.

        Also take a look at where the body length of the coat ends just below her buttock. It’s already pulled down a bit because of her pulling it off her shoulder. If it was a man’s coat it would be much lower on her body. (I just recently bought a fitted suit, and geeked out hard on brand, cut, fit etc)

    Anyways, I’ve been paying a lot of attention to how Cruz and Carpenter are answering questions about their affairs. Neither one has ever repudiated any specifics. They’re only saying the story is sleazy. Well, it is sleazy. Any story with married people cheating, hookers involved, having sex on a campaign bus, etc., is sleazy. The story could also be “false” if Cruz slept with her twice instead of 15 times. Given that Ted is a man and has probably had affairs with women who will never come out, I can understand his non-denial denial. If he says that he’s never done anything with Carpenter, he’d be asked about the other women. On the other hand, no one cares if Ms. Carpenter has cheated on her husband with other people. She is only being asked about Cruz. If she weren’t guilty, she’d simply come out and say that she’s never had any inappropriate relationship with Ted and sue the NE. It is something I would look into, her family background. An investigator will find a lot of threads to follow in both their statements. Our words give us away. They do not come out of a vacuum.

    Ted Cruz made his “denial” of the National Enquirer story incidental to his attack on Donald Trump alleging the story came from his people. (Marco Rubio’s supporters are the far more likely suspects in that regard). He expended a lot of sentences in a form that not just invited, but DEMANDED response, and DEMANDED coverage by the media. Ted Cruz dragged this story into the mainstream media and off the tabloids.

    Amanda Carpenter “lawyered up” straight away when called on the matter on CNN. Again, she could have simply said “the story is false and I’m not going to discuss it further. Move on.” She didn’t. She made a statement that DEMANDED reaction.

    In fairness, we cannot say what, if indeed anything, Ted Cruz and Amanda Carpenter are attempting to conceal. We can say–and must say–that their words and actions are consistent with an intent to conceal, an intent to deceive.

    And that will keep the Cruz Sex Scandal going for a few more news cycles yet.
