Who is your audience?
You are not trying to turn your enemies into friends. You are winning over the silent majority. They are judging you and your enemy to see whose position is true and just.
“The best defense is a good offense.”
Some people, for example, see the aggressive nature of my defense. Yet if you’ve been paying attention, you’ll also notice that I use humor and deprecation when appropriate. When you are abundant, you don’t mind being the butt of a joke now and then. Consider it a comedy roast!
Don’t be defensive.
Take ownership of insults: Reappropriate them.
Add dimension to your life. People want to paint you as dimensional – rapist, misogynist, whatever.
Do you beat women? – Ask my fiance/girlfriend/mom.
Use haters to your advantage.
Whenever haters lie about you, it gives you permission to repeat the truth to a third party.
Use your enemy’s energy against them.
Make yourself an easy target. “You’re right. I was stupid. Let’s all laugh at me for a while!”
“Are we done yet? It’s OK. I’ll wait.” Smile.
For online warfare: They link to you. Go to the page they linked to and write about them.
What to do with people lie about you?
Write up a fact sheet or press kit showing people are lying.
Say: “There are enough stupid things about me that are true. Let’s focus on those rather than lying about me?”
Whenever someone lies about you, link to your fact sheet.
