How I Played the Pathetic Gawker Bully Sam Biddle

October 24, 2014 By Mike Cernovich 72 Comments

As regular readers know, I do not play video games or watch television (other than when Game of Thrones and Mad Men are on). I also don’t read low-consciousness sites like Gawker or Slate, as they are toxic to your brain. How then did I get involved in #GamerGate?

I was writing about the law (especially free speech and other constitutional law issues) long before Danger & Play. I am a radical proponent of free speech. When I heard that the court system was being used to silence a young man, I decided to speak out.

Rather than ignore me or let me speak my mind, Social Justice Bullies (a loose collection of toxic people such as Gawker writers and their supplicants) went on the attack. They harassed me, cyber stalked me, and otherwise spread their stench towards me.

I looked into #GamerGate more and saw some revolting faces. I saw people like Sam Biddle (who bullies nerds), Max Read (who enjoys talking about date-rape drugs) and other vile people.

The more I looked into #GamerGate, the more I realized silence was complicity in evil. I could not stand by while Sam Biddle and Max Read bullied people.

Gawker Media is huge. As Omar cautioned, “You come at the king, you best not miss.”

To attack Gawker, I needed a plan.  Then I had to create a compelling spectacle.

The plan: Don’t let the media make you a #GamerGate hero.

Before going into #GamerGate, I planned my strategy backwards. I knew what would happen when I joined the fray.

Here is how backwards planning works:

  • Media smears #GamerGate vis-a-vis my involvement.
  • Media destroys me.
  • Media declares me leader of #GamerGate.
  • Media realizes it can’t ignore me.
  • Media ignores me.
  • #GamerGate notices me.

The mainstream media would declare me a leader of #GamerGate in an effort to discredit the entire movement. Before going in, I had to ensure that others would not be hurt because of me. It would be immoral for me to hurt an entire movement, especially since there was a shared goal – having the bullies and other unethical people fired from Gawker.

When joining the fight, people would be proud to have me next to them. I distanced myself from #GamerGate immediately, truthfully announcing that I was not a leader and telling people, “You are going to disagree with a lot of things about me. Don’t view me as a hero.”

Sure enough, the media quickly and falsely declared me a leader of #GamerGate. I knew why they were doing this, and I knew how to counter their strategy.

Why fight in #GamerGate?

Even though I don’t play video games, I never had any dislike for gamers. We all have our hobbies. I waste my fair share of time. Whatever. Live and let live.

But I hate Gawker Media and all it stands for, as they will not live and let live. Gawker lives to bring people down. They wait for some otherwise decent person like Pax Dickinson to say something stupid. Then they pounce, costing people their livelihoods.

Gawker is a safe haven for bullies like Sam Biddle, date-rape obsessed editors like Max Read, and a whole host of nasty other people. (Gawker is full of horrible people.)

If I could join forces to reform Gawker – even if this meant completely ruining my reputation online – I was willing to take a nuclear blast.

I knew that joining #GamerGate would mean the death of me. I had to take the abuse so that others could fight Gawker in other ways. I accepted my forthcoming death.

“Every day when one’s body and mind are at peace, one should meditate upon being ripped apart by arrows, rifles, spears, and swords. Being carried away by surging waves. Being thrown into the midst of a great fire. Being struck by lightning, being shaken to death by a great earthquake. Falling from thousand-foot cliffs, dying of disease, or committing seppuku at the death of one’s master. And every day, without fail, one should consider himself as dead. This is the substance of the Way of the Samurai.”

Take the fight to them.

When you know an attack is inevitable, you don’t wait for the enemy to bring the fight to you. You fight the enemy on your terms.

You attack them first and with audacity. You fight with such force of will and ruthlessness and fullness of purpose that you will finish your strike even if cut down in battle.

Rather than wait to get on Gawker’s radar, I took the fight to them. They had no idea what would come next or that they would be brought to their knees.

Give them an opening before ambushing them.

I had long written deliberately inflammatory Tweets. Deleting old Tweets is easy, as there are various apps to do so. You can also run a search via Twitter for specific “bad words” and selectively delete Tweets.

It’s not hard, which is why it’s silly that people are writing about my horrible Tweets without actually asking a guy who makes his living online if he knows how to use Twitter.

I left mine up, hoping Gawker would find them, knowing Gawker would find them. They would believe these “secret” Tweets would be the death of me.

Gawker would find these horrible Tweets to make me look like a horrible person. I would run away and hide.

But I knew about the Tweets. They were seeds sowed long ago.

I would embrace the Tweets and own up to them.

The Sam Biddle $10,000 Anti-Bullying Challenge.

I give a lot of money to charity each year, and always have. It’s important to do. I thought of a way to raise money for charity while also increasing awareness that Gawker supports bullying.

Sam Biddle is a pathetic, snarky bully. He is used to tormenting people with Gawker’s highly-trafficked websites. He had a large bully pulpit to harass people with.

When thousands of people read your writing each day, you can make people fear you. “Please don’t write mean things about me on Gawker!” He got cocky.

(Sam Biddle has a nice head of hair; I’ll give him that much.)

Screen Shot 2014-10-24 at 1.56.32 AM

Sam Biddle and his best friend Max Read began harassing people. The launched a campaign of bullying from their massive Twitter and blogging platforms.

They went too far by insulting vulnerable groups of people.

(“Neuroatypical” includes people who struggle with conditions such as Asperger’s.)

Max Read bully

Sam Biddle didn’t go after men like me – men who live for conflict. He went after what I would call “good kids.” These are the nice guys (and as #notyourshield shows, plenty of gals, too) of the world who just want to play game in peace.

The good kids learned that Gawker is a menace. You are not safe so long as Gawker is in business. Even if you ignore them, they will come to you.

Sam Biddle announced it was time to SMASH THE NERDS. As a nerd, I asked him when he would like to meet. The retweets began and I knew Sam and all of Gawker Media were vulnerable.

Film the video right now. Audacity.

“What are you doing,” my girl asked me. “I’m doing a YouTube video, babe.” She laughed and helped me edit it a bit. Then she went to bed.

“I promise you that this video will appear in your Facebook feed tomorrow. It will be in there from someone you have not talked to in years.” How can you know?

I know.

At 4 p.m. she sent me a screen cap of her Facebook wall. Someone had linked to the $10,000 Boxing Challenge. “I haven’t talked to this girl since college!”

(I was tired. But this shaky video went viral.)

Know your enemy.

Sam Biddle, like all bullies, hates himself. The anger and self-loathing he possess cooks him from the inside out. He lashes out against the world like a petulant child.

That video was a reminder he was a hypocrite. He spoke out against bullying while himself being a bully. He talked tough and yet could not back it up.

He was a keyboard warrior who wouldn’t last 5 minutes in my world. He couldn’t let my challenge pass over in silence.

(Sam Biddle, Gawker in Paradise)

Sam Biddle’s jealousy of Danger & Play.

Unlike Sam Biddle, I own my writing. Danger & Play is mine. Biddle is envious that he will always be living hand-to-mouth writing clickbait, where as I can produce quality on my own terms.

I produce timeless advice by distilling the wisdom of the ages where as Sam Biddle bullies kids with ASD to get clicks so that his boss Nick Denton can earn millions in tax-sheltered income.

Biddle’s writing is garbage snark. Biddle is a no-talent hack who will never write a book or ever have a readership outside whatever his employers give him. He is irrelevant without Gawker or Vice or some other shit site, and it eats him up inside.

Sam Biddle hated me for being his superior. He hated you for being his superior. He hated all of us for standing for everything he is not.

Rather than joining the community and making a commitment to become a better man, he choose to attack me.

Biddle would never fall for the trap. Or would he?

Sam Biddle and Max Read made a fatal mistake. It was such a stupid move that I didn’t expect it. Jezebel has attacked me before, and they attacked Victor, who kicked dirt in their faces.

It would be incredibly stupid to attack me. What would they expect happen?

Their mistake was such folly that I wrongly told a friend, “They will never put my on the front page of Gawker. All that will do is expose more men to my message.”

My phone starts blowing up.

“Mike, what’s happening?”

I look at my phone. It’s 9 a.m. I check my analytics. There are hundreds of active readers coming from Gawker.com.

Those fools. I grabbed an ice coffee and embraced the battle.

It would be a hard fight. Also, my online reputation would be ruined. My name will forever be associated with “mean” things. I knew that going in and accepted it as the price warriors pay.

(Mike Cernovich, D-List Celebrity.)

Media coordination

Gawker made me stronger. They made us stronger.

Friends of mine were concerned. People thought I would cave. That’s what people do, right? You issue an apology and move on and hope they leave you alone.

Hah!

I lit Sam Biddle and Max Read (who has a fondness for date rape drugs) up.

I took the fight to them, exposing all of their hypocrisies and misdeeds.

I have received thousands of tweets (that is not a joke; I cannot keep up with my Twitter stream) and emails telling me they are inspired to fight harder against Gawker.

Gawker lost what all bullies rely on – the element of fear.

Gawker has been revealed as a pathetic bully.

No one has ever stood up to Gawker the way I did. The way we did. Billionaires caved.

Marc Cuban is held up as an alpha male. Yet he kneeled before the mainstream media.

Gawker attacked me. MSNBC attacked me. I laughed and welcomed more. They were afraid to ask me onto their media shows, as they know they would be destroyed by me.

Marc Cuban groveled. Jonah Hill cried.

(Will you forgive me if I cry?)

I was lit the fuck up and begged for more.

The mainstream media and purveyors of Gawker filth learned what happens when you focus on me. Some people enjoy the fight more after they’ve been hit in the head a few times.

If Gawker or any other journalist or Social Justice Bully comes after me again, I will take the fight back to them in ways they can’t anticipate.

In fact, I showed them that an attack from Gawker will make you stronger. There’s an entire subculture of YouTubers growing out of #GamerGate. They are going to transform gaming journalism.

The battle is over, but the war will continue.

“As a dog returns to its vomit, so does a fool to its folly.”

Sam Biddle and Max Read lack any integrity or character. Their conduct has cost Nick Denton money, which is the only thing Nick “Cayman Islands” Denton cares about.

They have already lashed out of advertisers who refuse to subsidize a company that supports bullying. Biddle and Read will wallow in their own vomit soon enough.

My wish is for them to blame me, for them to attack me, for them to stop bullying neuroatypicals and nice guys and gals and to come hard at me.

Here I am, Sam.

What’s next?

#GamerGate has taken up far more time than I had anticipated. I didn’t expect the idiots at Gawker to actually put me on their front page or for MSNBC to lie about me.

Gorilla Mindset was scheduled for a December 1 release. That may get pushed back, as there has been a recent development that will be of interest to regular readers. More later.

(This Gorilla Spartan t-shirt looks cool.)

You go Mike! Zoe spreading your doxx of your address and google street view of your home was messed up! NEVER FORGIVE NEVER FORGET.

    • Mike Schonewolf

Wow! Talk about hypocrisy, this is the second time Zoe Quinn has doxxed someone.

      • cynical realist 7356

        Second documented time…

  • knowethnaught

This isn’t just inspiration to fight the likes of Gawker harder – It’s inspiration to man up and take on the whole world. I hope there is a heap of guys having some big old “mindset paradigm shifts” right now. Thank you.

  • Some Person

Sweet mother of god, I wish you were a gamer right now. Laying this all out like that makes me want to face off with in a good strategy game, or maybe a fighter. I think this is how Vegeeta feels whenever he looks at Goku. You, good sir, have awakened my (metaphorical) bloodlust!

    • SongTalkingMan

Spread it to your gamer-friends, or what would you say?

If you listen to Mike and find his word valuable, then why not give it to your friends aswell? You seem to feel that they too would enjoy this.

      • KingKratom

        You said it man- definitely.

Share DnP with everyone you know (that has the potential to become a great man).

    • KingKratom

you actually don’t EVER want to be a gamer.

Take it from someone who had no life for 10 years. They are more addicting heroin (maybe not, but still. if the bug bites you you’re fucked).

      • Ed

There’s nothing wrong with being a gamer if you can limit to a few hours a week.

However if you’re like me and just can’t wait to finish the game and find out what happens next it becomes a huge waste of time. I’ve had times where I planned to play for half an hour in the evening and the next thing I knew the sun was coming up.

I’ve since sold all my consoles and uninstalled steam from my computer.

        • KingKratom

Exactly. That’s the “problem” with video games- especially if you play competitive games (halo, WoW, etc) and you’re actually good at them. You’ll want to play them all the time because they are that fucking fun.

Being a great gamer and a great man are not synonymous. I look at a few hours a week these days to be too valuable to waste… I’m slowly but surely converting more and more of each day into “time spent being productive”. This will pay off nicely in the future. Plus I’m working on things that I love, so that is nice too.

      • SatyrWolf

The addiction comes from not having a good method of seeing one’s self worth. If gaming is the only way you feel a sense of accomplishment or value then it is indeed like chasing a high because there are no tangible results. This is why I try to get my gamer friends to have a hobby that requires some thought and working with your hands. The feeling you get from seeing the physical result of your labor is much much sweeter than headshotting that noob camping a respawn site.

I still identify as a gamer, but I never defined myself as strictly a gamer. It’s merely an aspect of my life. I work, exercise, read, sleep, date, and for a few hours every other week I sit with friends and play. I suppose I’m different in the fact that I focus on interaction rather than “winning.”

        • KingKratom

I understand your perspective, but the odds of someone being able to play video games for only a “few” hours a week are not favorable. You might be able to handle it successfully, but most people cannot. I played games for ~10 years (all online, not by myself RPG’s) and practically every person I played with -is still playing- and played more hours a day than me on average and had even less of a life than I- and I had NO LIFE (at least relative to how much I am “living” ever since I quit).

In my humble opinion it is best to just completely stay away from video games. The percentage of people who become “great” that played video games on the way ‘up’ is likely close to nothing.

(but in your case, if you do play a few hours a week WITH real life friends, then go for it. Just thinking about doing that brings back euphoric memories. I don’t mean to give off the image that I HATE video games or something, I just don’t believe they ever help anyone more than they hurt them.)

          • SatyrWolf

You were there once and speak from experience. You found your balance and it just happened to require no gaming. Like with everything here and other manosphere sites milage will vary. Thinking about it I’m sure I’ve logged more hours on my console in the past week watching Netflix with the girl than playing.

I think the saddest men I see are at gaming conventions. Slouching, shuffling, looking at their feet, looking and smelling like a typical gamer. Even before I took the red pill I knew I didn’t want to go that deep. It’s amusing when I get called a poser and a noob now. My standard response is the long pause and “sure”, then go talk to a booth girl about some non-gaming topic. When I get more than the polite chat and smile it usually makes my point better than anything I could say.

          • KingKratom

            Well said, SatyrWolf.

Thank god I found my balance, because life is quite entertaining these days, who would have thought.

          • SatyrWolf

I have to thank you. I’ve been wanting to start a red pill blog myself but really didn’t see a hook to separate it from every other red pill blog. You’ve given me an inspiration. A red pill gamer blog aimed at helping guys like me wanting to leave the dork side.

And I’m giving a nod to Mike as well. Without D&P I would not have found a treasure trove of info and people that inspired my next step.

          • FlorianUlrich

Like the idea. Just checked, “Redpillgamer.com” already exists. But if your goal is to bring gamers into the “red pill’, you could use a reference from alice in wonderland or the matrix in your title. for getting started, Victor Pride has a great kit.

          • SatyrWolf

You’ve given an inspiration. I’ve been wanting to write a blog myself but haven’t had a good hook to make it distinct from others.

            Red Pill Gamer

My thanks to you and Mike. Without D&P I would not have had a treasure trove of info and people to inspire my next step.

    • Bob Whitemann

you dont have to be a Gamer to hate facists like sam Biddle

  • yohami

    for the win.

  • Damian

Take your time with the book. I am enjoying the spectacle. But I can’t help but notice (twitter), are you been getting enough sleep? Stay sharp Mike, we are rooting for you.

    • KingKratom

Good observation. I was thinking the same.

I think I would go insane if I tweeted the whole day.
It quickly turns into time being wasted. (not necessarily that you’re wasting your time, mike. I’m sure you have an agenda with this.)

  • The Reactionary Tree

#GamerGate is turning into a major cultural war. I dont play games at all but have been following it relatively closely. The media is trying as hard as they can to wave red herrings and make adhom attacks against GGers so that they do not have to address the corruption that is taking place in the gaming journalism industry. It is apparent that the likes of Gawker have been unable to put out the fire so they called in the big guns from MSNBC to run a smear attack against GGers. They would rather concentrate on the actions of literally less than a handful of people who made death threats than to address the legitimate concerns of thousands of GGers.

  • Rivelino

excellent post. social justice bullies is a great term.

  • The Reactionary Tree

Funny how they were all about bullying nerds until a defender of nerds emerged. They cowardly slunk away like a dog with its tail in between its legs.

  • Costello

I knew you had a strategy. People like us, we don’t go in blind. We already know the territory, and we can see the punches thrown three steps ahead. Excellent work, really. You’ve shown us what it means to display courage in the face of what must have been ubiquitous flaming.

I’ll be making that particular Badwear purchase in short order.

Note to self: Jonah Hill is a snivelling pussy.

    • Good Looking Loser

      video is hilarious

    • KingKratom

haha- i could barely stand to watch that shit (if someone is being embarrassed i get embarrassed, this happened a lot at my sister’s pageant this weekend as you can imagine)

  • Adam Lawson

Mike, this is why you’re the kind of guy I’d like to be friends with – you saw something you knew was wrong, people being bullied, and you stepped in. You didn’t have to, but you took the body blows and exposed the bullies.

I play video games occasionally (I’ll go through spurts where I play, then go months without), mostly to unwind, but I’ve watched gamergate with interest. Even more than my interest in games, I am interested because I hate smug, snarky assholes, and I’m hoping to see a few of them get theirs.

I could care less who some girl I don’t know has sex with; I don’t care if women make video games. Whatever. I do, however, care about this new witchhunt going on because someone might, gasp, think something another person doesn’t like.

Jesus Christ, what a bunch of babies these elitist bullies are. People think lots of things I don’t like, but I don’t call for them to be picked on or have to play games I approve of.

  • SatyrWolf

It really is interesting how media has a love/hate relationship with men like Mike. They play a good intelligent game at first, then just drop right into name-calling and harassment like most people. After being called out on their bad behavior they play the victim expecting an apology.

  • SongTalkingMan

Mike, I’ve said this to you before, but I absolutely have to say this too you again.

Take a look at Mark 9:35; And he sat down, and
called the twelve, and saith unto them, If any man desire to be first,
the same shall be last of all, and servant of all.

You are a man, a boxer, a lawyer and a lot more. And this is virtuous what you are doing, defending those with aspergers, those who spend their lives playing video games. For challenging those who bully and exploit those who make easy targets. You show their truely vile character. You do this cleanly and with legitimacy. This is The Lord’s Work which you are doing, and you’re an inspiration to me. I don’t care if you believe or not.

Thank you for this, for what you’ve given here at Danger & Play, and for what I might get later.

  • bear

I look at guys like Sam Bidell and I think what a weak little turd ! Soft in the middle bullies, like him deserve nothing short of the (metaphorically speaking )- “scorched earth” treatment.

  • g status

How many people ever practice what they preach? How many people have the balls to stand up to massive media companies? Dnp has always been valuable to me personally but this shows credibility to the rest of the mainstream world. This inspires me to keep doing what I do. Audacity. . .

  • Matt

Great work Mike. Major props for standing up to these fucks.

  • Robert

Funny that the haters think this wasn’t a carefully planned out attack.

  • Mina Smith

when former NFL pundit chris kluwe backed down to mike’s offer of a boxing match citing boxing as ‘violent’ i laughed my ass off

      • Tim Lieder

So that’s how he overwhelmed Gawker – that pathetic “let’s box” challenge? You fuckers are sad.

  • Ben

I completely misread and underestimated the whole thing. Was not paying close enough attention. Thought one thing when it was something completely different. Well done.

    On a side note.

I don’t hate much in this world but I do despise the collectivist mindset. The self-righteous hippocracy and PC filth that comes out of that age old movement is one of the most soul destroying forces in this existence.

    • anon1

i’m weird. i can see how regions that have seen the brutal end of cronyism and corruption (south america) take to populism and collectivism (an example being evo morales) but basically above a minimum floor level of poverty (morales managed to reduce absolute poverty and increase literacy by actually repealing laws, specifically one on coca leafs. As everyone traded that instead, less coca-in-e flowing up to the US), capitalism has to kick in for things to work properly. Otherwise there is no profit incentive to create or compete.

And unfortunately we are nowhere near the post scarcity- singularity type economy the arm chair harvard academics keep talking about, so to paraphrase churchill “Capitalism is the worst economic system, except for all the others.”

I would self identify as mostly libertarian, but i think that at a super local level basically small pockets of anything can work. (Which is why peter thiel’s floating island stuff intrigues me).

Also the switzerland style of lets have a referendum on stuff seems cool, though i suspect there are just so many dumb mass media infected people in the world, if we went totally majoritarian you’d end up with cultural mob rule. (A good blast from the past is looking at the attrocities committed during the french revolution. The tyrants died, and the savages destroyed their families. Who’s the bad guy in that situation? neither? both? I dont know)

      • Ben

Wasn’t really talking about “collectivism” the economic or political system. Perhaps I did not make myself clear. I meant a “collectivist mindset”. There is but a slight difference. I was merely trying to illustrate the types of individual who subscribe to the subjugation of others. Economics or land rights have nothing to do with this discussion. You might want to look into the U.S. lead effort known as Operation Condor that had it’s beginnings in the early 70’s and what effect it had on economic systems of that region of South America.

Switzerland works because it uses a federal parliamentary style of governance. That system of government will probably be instituted here in this country after all of the messiness and collapse occurs. What that looks like, I don’t know, when it will have it’s effects felt is anyone’s guess. I believe it is actually happening right now. Subtle changes in legislation and procedure occur almost weekly. People just do not notice it. So back to the Swiss. They use a system that consists of cantons or quasi states and are ruled from a central authority. It works in part because the cantons are divided into regions that speak common languages and uphold customs of that region. In other words, their are German, French, Italian and Romansh areas that are divided by language and custom. That is how it works. They are generally segregated and not a mishmash of cultures and customs competing against one another. That never seems to work anywhere. We have not evolved enough as a species for it NOT to matter. At any rate, that is my take on Switzerland. It also does not hurt they are the banking and finance capital of the world.

Long story short, I was merely commenting on the fact that people with a totalitarian mindset are not be loathed.

  • hyperrreal

    This warmed my heart.

  • Joseph Muller

It goes to show that there’s no such thing as bad press.

  • Ed

I shouldn’t be but I’m surprised at how one-sided the media is. Not just from the junk media but the what I used to think were legitimate sources of news. Relatively unkown at the time Pax Dickinson and Justine Sacco send out a few jokingly but offensive tweets and are promptly crucified by the media..

    Sam Biddle advocates bullying………

    *crickets chirping*

Nothing is heard from the media.

One person tweets an offensive joke and it’s grounds to ruin their career. Another person tweets something equally offensive and it’s an ironic joke. There is no consistency.

  • David Gray

Can only hope you benefit from this in the long run.
It seems you only made enemies of people that would never have been allies anyway.
How the media can spin a charity boxing match into a hit piece against a man willing to give said money to charity and demand nothing but the presence of his adversary in return…. I do not know.
They should have (at worst) been reporting it as an odd result of a “miscommunication” earning 10k for antibullying during an antibullying month.
Everyone could have been a winner, even Biddle would have saved face.
Daft fuckers… They will eventually lose.

  • wahsatchmo

It’s been very difficult to not explain on Twitter to your detractors how predictable and ineffective their responses have been to your GamerGate tactics. I could have done so, but I know full well they won’t understand because they are encapsulated in a thought cocoon from which they’ll never break free.

SJWs of both genders fight like ill bred teenage girls. They bully and then run away to beg for help from someone in authority. They scream insults and tar you with unfounded accusations. They are shocked when confronted with their own passive aggressive tactics, then attempt to shame you into silence, or into meeting their threats with similar threats. Which they would then use as evidence of your misogyny/racism/support of rape culture. They lie and expect the lie to be repeated ad infinitum with impunity. They attack the person, not the message, and expect their own hypocrisy to be unquestioned while they attempt to smear you with such claims. They won’t take responsibility for their words or actions.

But the SJWs didn’t realize something important: that Game isn’t just about picking up women. It’s an overall method of approaching life as a man. Without fear, one cannot be shamed. Black knighting uses the passive aggressive tactics of the SJWs against them, and should they declare those tactics off limits to one group they would threaten the sole weapon of their insular society. You don’t argue with a SJW using logic, though logic will always be on your side; you fight them with frame. You never lose your cool, because they will see that as a victory. You take away their appeal to authority and let them hoist themselves on their own petard.

In this respect, Mike has fought admirably, and deserves a hearty congratulations. GamerGate is about gamers and Game alike, which may make strange bedfellows, but certainly not incompatible ones.

Ever thought about crowd sourcing donations for a higher charity donation amount? Maybe even a Kickstarter for it? If you even got half of what Sarskeezian got for her tripe.. you’d have a cash amount for charity that would be very hard for the lamestream to ignore, thus having to ask more questions, get more airtime, make more advertisers of Gawker pull out. Full of win.

Lord knows i’d probably pitch in a hundred bones just to see Sam wet his pants before getting into the ring with you.

  • Abu Husain

Nice, Mike! I’m going through 48 Laws of Power again and I’m seeing you put several of them into action right now… They weren’t prepared for what you did to them, lol. They approached a mountain thinking they could destroy it with their shoes.

  • queazy

Good work, but no need to tip your hand and expose your strategy. Perhaps it would be better to stay silent (in regards to broadcasting your strategy) so these people can keep making mistakes. Maybe they’ll be like a dog on a leash with too much slack, where if they make too many mistakes they will tangle up their neck on the slack.

Part of it is good content for his site but more of it is help people organise themselves if they are found with the flaming torch mob some day. Very valuable advice.

    Mike,

You look pale in that photo. Are you getting enough rest? I’m sure you’re fine, but don’t kill yourself.

“Mike Cernovich” “D-List Celebrity” Mike C got the biggest D on the list.

    I fucking love DangerandPlay

  • PermanentGuest

You’ve held your own, though at this point it looks like you’re giving them more attention than they deserve.

It’s easy to think the world’s coming against you when you have this kind of opposition. Luckily you’ve built a good support system here, so look to focus your energy on them, not the negative, energy-sucking characters who thrive on nonsensical drama.

Mike, standing ovation t the treatment these bullies deserve.

Was watching the Jonah Hill clip, and the way he goes “I am a supporter of the LBGT….. …. Q movement” just made me burst. Even the activists are getting confused with all the new additions.

Anyhow, that sad video shows us who the common man’s heros are, apologizing for answering a bully. The paparazzo following him and his family, shouting slurs, insults, is all ok; one dude losing it and saying “faggot”, is world ending crime. And he apologizes.

This is not the way of the warrior, not the way of the king, not the way of the magician, not the way of the lover, not the way of the gorilla, king, eagle, man.

This is the way of the coward.
    The way of the parasite.
    The way of the minions.

Serving the enemies of men, women, civilization, nature and harmonious existence.

If this is the creature young generations look up to, there is a generation growing underneath that mud that will rise, and rebuild civilization from its ashes.

Be it by the poolside, be it in the trenches. Truth is everywhere, and souls that feed on truth are everywhere. Outnumbered, but everywhere.

The key of this piece is the fact that these sites like Gawker have “lost the element of fear”. There truly is no need to apologize to the petulant, wailing masses of pinkshirts (i.e. feminists and social justice losers). Once this attitude proliferates, and people refuse to toe the pinkshirt ideological line, then they have lost all their power. Way to set an example.

Mike, there is no way this guy will accept the boxing challenge. He’d pee his pants. It would be the proverbial two-sound boxing match, one sound of your glove hitting him, the next the sound of Sam Biddle falling to the matt.

    Sam Biddle = P U S S Y

Gawker “writers” only have a pair behind their computer screens.

  • sharpmarble

You played him like a damn fiddle!

  • Rocklion

Still wanting to box I’ll go the three rounds with you. Can give the money still. Not because I have anything against you. Like your blog. I’d just do it for the shits and giggles. Love to box.

  • Albee Doh

    I’m glad I found this.

I’ve had a run-in with Biddle as well. He’s a spineless, lying bitch and if we ever cross paths in the real world it’s gonna go badly for him.

  • vetiarvind

You do realize that max_read tweet was sarcastic..He wasn’t actually bullying neuro-atypicals or teenage girls.

  • desbest

Gawker doesn’t even pay their writers. Gawker is being sued by their interns, whilst the tax dodging CEO sits on millions. Plus it’s a hateful rage profiteering site that spreads false information for clicks.

    GAWKER MEDIA TRIVIALISES THE HOLOCAUST

Somebody should alert the Anti Defamation League and Gawker’s advertisers to this blatant anti antisemitism. As Mike says, we play by their rules!

In a press release, Coca-Cola said its aim was to “tackle the
pervasive negativity polluting social media feeds and comment threads
    across the internet”.

But Gawker, noticing that one response had the “14 words” white nationalist slogan re-published in the shape of a dog, had other ideas.

The media company’s editorial labs director, Adam Pash, created a Twitter bot, @MeinCoke,
and set it up to tweet lines from Mein Kampf and then link to them with
the #MakeItHappy tag – triggering Coca-Cola’s own Twitter bot to turn
    them into cutesy pictures.

“The #MakeItHappy message is simple: the internet is what we make it,
and we hoped to inspire people to make it a more positive place. It’s
unfortunate that Gawker is trying to turn this campaign into something
    that it isn’t.”

The statement concluded: “Building a bot that attempts to spread hate
through #MakeItHappy is a perfect example of the pervasive online
negativity Coca-Cola wanted to address with this campaign.”

You forgot to say HOW you did anything. You just posted a bunch of bullshit. This is not an example ofyou standing up to anything.

  • Ironthumb

Great man! You really showed them!

But I do think that the Cuban’s folding has more to do with him having a lot to lose. Thus his advisor’s advice “appologize and fold” -lest his advisor lose his job lol

  • ColbertBump

I know you wrote this a year ago, but I had to congratulate you on a truly epic comment.
Who could possibly stand up to someone with such “intensive reflexive battle tactics”? Surely not any “abusive parasitic” woman who persecutes all “good men”!
Kudos to you, sir. Keep fighting that good fight, Don Quixote.

  • Jerky LeBoeuf

This is the most hilarious example of rationalization, wishful thinking and self-mythologizing that I’ve ever read. Thanks for the lulz!

    • Manuel Santiago

Gawker is dead though. Cernovich won.
