Barack Obama was re-elected. Half of men thinks this is the greatest thing in the world. The other half is convinced that the world is going to end. The West is in decline. Etc.
Allow me to demonstrate why all of you who care about the presidential election are wasting your lives.
Four years from now you can do the following:
a) live the life of an average American.
Work some shit job you don’t care about. Come home to watch TV for 4 hours, play video games, drink Coors Light, and read ESPN.
b) approach 3 women a day, go to the gym 5 days a week, save 10% of each pay check, read/watch educational materials every night before bed, and buy a juicer.
In 4 years, which decision will lead to a better life?
In 4 years I’ll be older, which will suck. But I’ll be great shape. I’ll be getting laid regularly. I will have money in my pocket. I know all of that for a fact and with absolute, 100% certainty.
It won’t matter one god-damned bit who is in office.
If, as so many of you think, the West is going to decline – well, I’ll be on a Jeep with a machete and .45 caliber pistol in a shoulder holster.
Obsessing over politics is a way to avoid taking personal responsibility for your life.
Every hour you spend reading National Review or watching the “news” is an hour you are not spending developing your life.
If you want to continue following politics, that is of course your right.
But follow politics as a man should. That means take personal responsibility for your decision. Admit that you’re watching the news rather than going to the gym because you’re a worm who lacks the will to achieve anything.
Keep gaining 5 pounds of fat every year. In 20 years you’ll have a gut hanging over your dockers while some piggy, nagging girlfriend or wife pesters you about the next trip to Ikea.
Keep following politics, and if you’re really lucky, this will be as good as your life will ever get:
